We work as a team with each client so that we can help them achieve their goals with minimal stress. We are here to help our clients every step of the way through the loan process. Mike Stein

With over 24 years as a Mortgage Loan Officer and closing over 5,000 loans, I bring a wealth of knowledge to my clients to make sure they can navigate the mortgage process successfully and be aware of any potential hurdles at the very beginning in order to avoid any surprises during the process. We believe in complete transparency in the way we communicate. The real estate magic happens during nights, weekends, and holidays and you need someone who is accessible and informative during those moments when you are making important decisions to put an offer on a home. I have a tremendous team who is very experienced who are all driven to make sure we are providing a phenomenal mortgage experience for our clients in order to create RAVING FANS who will want to continue to use our services in the future as well as refer all their friends and family to us with confidence knowing that we will take great care of them for their mortgage.
I live in Fairfax Station, VA with my wife, Denisse. Our son attends JMU studying Quantitative Finance, our daughter is in high school with a passion for musical theater. We love to spend time together and travel every chance we can.

I am the Production Partner for The Stein Team and have worked with Mike for over 11 years. I pride myself on providing an exceptional home buying experience for our customers. I am frequently the first person you hear from to help answer any questions you may have about the process and to help coordinate a call with Mike or Iman to help strategize your mortgage. I am actively involved on the front end of your process to include reviewing your loan application and supporting documents and determining if additional information will be needed for your loan pre-approval. Once we have your loan locked we will work together to obtain the necessary documents to move your file into underwriting. Our team takes pride in being thorough in the initial stages of the loan to ensure a smooth and timely closing. I am happy to be an additional resource to answer any questions along the way!
In my spare time I enjoy traveling with my husband to new and exciting places, cooking, gardening and reading.
Chris Barker

I am the Production Manager for The Stein Team and have worked for Mike for over 17 years. I am a licensed loan officer in 10 states and looking forward to helping you through the mortgage process. My role begins once you are under contract and you have finalized your loan strategy with Mike and/or Iman. As your liaison to the underwriter and approval process, I will guide you through the process to get your loan approved as quickly and smoothly as possible. We work hard to make sure you are comfortable with every step in the process. Once we have your loan fully approved I will also help you understand the final numbers; your future mortgage payment and your cash to close.
I have three children all active in several sports, so I’m also a part-time chauffeur. I love spending time with my kids and wife who is a Fairfax County teacher. I love the outdoors, whether biking, skiing, hiking or fishing.

Due to my stressful experiences in the home buying process, it is my mission to be by your side to make the whole process as smooth as possible. I help to analyze your current situation and future goals to assist in determining the best mortgage strategy for you. It is very important to understand your needs and goals in order to provide you with the best advice. We focus on speed to respond and communicate directly with you and your agent to ensure a smooth, accurate, and on-time closing.
